Gay Hotel, Gran Canaria, Playa del Inglés

Welcome to Sandy Beach! We’re proud to be part of one of Europe’s greatest LGBTQIA+ destinations. You’ll find us close to the buzz of the famous Yumbo Centre and the sand dunes of Gran Canaria’s iconic gay beach.

Gran Canaria’s famously inclusive stance makes it a beacon for LGBTQIA+ visitors and a thriving gay scene has exploded across the island. Gay-friendly hotels, Gran Canaria’s year-round sunshine and a calendar bursting with LGBTQIA+ events wait to greet you.

The island boasts 365 days of cultural fabulousness from the extravagant Carnival to the exuberant New Year’s Eve celebrations, with more gay festivals, classical music, theatre, opera, traditional festivities and open-air concerts crammed in between.

Kiosk 7 in Maspalomas

The heart and soul of Gran Canaria’s gay beach is Kiosk #7, a buzzy beach bar between the dunes and the Atlantic. Rent a sunbed, strip off your clothes (or keep them on – it’s up to you) and chill. Just look for the rainbow flags, around a 30-minute walk from Sandy Beach.
